The holiday season is coming fast, and Kennedy Plaza will have a Christmas tree lighting this December 6th at 5:30pm. Join the Long Beach City Council at the Annual Kennedy Plaza Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony, presented by Long Beach Nursing and Rehabilitation Center with our very own LBHS Jazz Band!
Our band will be performing holiday favorites and the City Council will announce those chosen to light this year's tree from “Nominate Someone Great”. Santa is also coming to the city, where he will make a grand entrance with help from the Long Beach Fire Department. After the lighting of the Christmas tree, enjoy hot chocolate, warm cookies, donuts, and candy canes!
Younger children will also have a special activity, where they are invited to add their names to the ornaments on the tree and send letters to Santa. These ornaments will only be available while supplies last.
This city tradition is a great time to get together with friends and family to watch an amazing event. If you have the opportunity, you should definitely come watch the tree lighting.
